Labor Day Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast 2017

Last Week:  Close.  Not much went down last week which was predicted.  Hopefully this weekend is better.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 7, Close – 10, Way Off – 1

Water Temp:  Water temp dropped a few degrees.  High 60’s to the south and mid to low 60’s to the north.

Today:  Mostly east wind and light where it isn’t east.

Saturday:  Another light and variable wind day for the entire lakeshore.

Sunday:  There should be some wind out of the west for most of the lakeshore.  For the southern half of the lakeshore, it will be in the 10 to 15 knot range.  Maybe enough for a light wind kite session.  For the northern half of the lakeshore the wind will be more SW and also in the 10 to 15 knot range except for at PB where I think there will be 15 to 20 knots under sunny skies.

Labor Day:  Fingers crossed on this one, but it’s been looking pretty solid for a couple days now.  Wind will be out of the SW for the entire lakeshore at daybreak and increase into mid morning.  The northern half of the lakshore should top out around 20 to 25 knots and then it’ll come down and change direction in the afternoon.  The southern half of the lakeshore should top out around 25 to 30 knots and continue into mid afternoon!  Chance of rain too, but it shouldn’t be a wash out.
