Labor Day Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast

Last week: Nailed It! – Unfortunately, not much wind last weekend.  Friday was the only day with a little in the afternoon.

Tally So Far: Nailed It! – 12, Close –9 Way Off – 0

Friday:  Light and variable winds today.  Calm waters for a paddle board session.

Saturday:  Another light wind day.

Sunday:  There will be a south breeze with sunny skies which should mean there will be enough wind at Little sable and Pt Betsie to ride.  Probably in the 15 to 20 knot range.

Labor Day:  A southwest wind is forecast and it should be around 15 knots from Manistee and further north in the afternoon.

Man, after a couple weeks of some of having some really nice windy days it has really shut down.  Hopefully the second half of the weekend pulls through.

Also, if you haven’t checked out the Manistee Surf Cam lately, we have upgraded the cam for a higher quality video feed.  Looks awesome!

  • Today looks like a pretty good chance for SSW wind in the 15 to 20 knot range for the northern half of the lakeshore!
