Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast Aug 10th and 11th

Last Week: Nailed It! A rideable NNW thermal built both afternoons last weekend.  I was just a little too high on windspeed.

Tally So Far: Nailed It! – 6, Close – 12, Way Off – 1

Friday:  A light westerly breeze is going to blow all afternoon just, not enough to ride.

Saturday:  An afternoon NNW thermal should build from Muskegon south to Holland with winds up to 20 knots.  Pere Marquette Beach, Hoffmaster St Park, Grand Haven City Beach,  Tunnel Park and Laketon park would be some good spots to try.

Sunday:  There is going to be S to SW flow on lake michigan with lots of sun.  I think the points, LSP, Big Sauble and Pt Betsie are going to be windy enough all afternoon.  Pt Betsie, probably a little more than the others.

Lots of sun this weekend.  Good for thermals!

This is a weekly blog post of my best guess at the kiteboarding conditions for the coastline of Lake Michigan from Holland north to Pt Betsie.   Subscribe to automatically receive this forecast in your inbox.
