Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast Aug 19th & 20th

Last Week:  Close.  The only thing I was off on was the wind didn’t get quite as strong as I forecast.  Still kiteable though.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 7, Close – 8, Way Off – 1

Water Temp:  Low 70’s for the southern half of the lakeshore and upper 60’s for the northern half.

Today:  This afternoon there will be some wind early and then dying off as it gets later.  Probably 15 to 20 knots from noon till around 2pm out of the NW and then decreasing to 10 knots by 5pm

Saturday:  Mostly light winds until mid afternoon when a WNW thermal could develop for the Muskegon to Holland lakeshore.  It still doesn’t look to be much more than 15 knots though.

Sunday:  Wind will pick up out of the SSW for the northern half of the lakeshore.  Right now it looks like 15 to 20 knots.  Full sun could enhance this.  Might be a good day up north.

Jeff, myself and a handful of other kiters got out last night for a warm water and air session.  In case you missed it, here is the link Riders on the Storm.

Jeff also got out riding up north last Saturday.
