Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast August 16th and 17th

[embedit snippet=”responsive-ad”]

Last Week:  Nailed it, unfortunately.  Wind was out of the east and light.

Tally So Far: Nailed It! – 6, Close –11 , Way Off – 0

Today:  Looking too light out of the southwest along the lakeshore.

Saturday: Southerly winds in the morning and early afternoon look like Little Sable, Big Sable and Pt Betsie will be solid.  The clearer the sky the better the winds will get.  I’d say right now LSP and Pt Betsie will be close to 20 knots.  Later in the afternoon clouds and rain are supposed to move in and kill the wind.

Sunday: Looking pretty light on the Michigan shoreline with NE winds.  Side offshore

Water is cold again after the north wind we had on Tuesday.  Full suit temperature.

  • Anyone get out today? Had a great ride in Manistee early this morning. Went between the piers and it was butter smooth with steady wind close to 20 knots.
