Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast August 22nd and 23rd

Last week:  Close – Well it went pretty much as expected except for where the wind was on Sunday.  It was too light of wind from Muskegon and south.  All of the wind was further north.

Tally So Far: Nailed It! – 10, Close –9 Way Off – 0

Friday:  Under sunny skies it should be good wind for kiteboarding in the 15 to 20 knot range out of the south from

around Little Sable Point to Ludington State Park and up at Frankfort and Point Betsie.

Saturday:  Really a carbon copy of Friday.  South wind under sunny skies for the northern half of the lake Michigan shoreline.  The points being the windiest.

Sunday:  Right now, Sunday looks like it is going to have a little bit more for the entire lakeshore.  From Holland and all the way north it is going to start out SSW and turn WSW by late afternoon and be in the 20 to 25 knot range.  The thing about Sunday however is that storms are also predicted.  However, if they follow the pattern lately, they will be scattered.

Had another good weekday session this week.  This summer has been great after a below average water temperature and light wind summer last year.
