Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast August 5th & 6th

Last Week:  Nailed It.  Friday was good (Saved by the Stizzle) and Saturday was even better than expected for the Muskegon area.  Sunday was light.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 6, Close – 7, Way Off – 1

Water Temp:  Upper 60’s for the entire lakeshore.

Today:  Unless you live in a cave, you’ve probably heard that this afternoon is forecast to be the windiest day yet this summer!  West winds in the mid 20 knot range early afternoon, shifting to NW and building into the evening to 30 to 35 knots.  Waves will be in the 6 to 9 foot range.  Finding clean waves could be difficult.  I’m afraid it will be a washing machine out there.  Oh well, it should be awesome anyways.

Saturday:  There will be some leftovers early in the morning with wind out of the NW in the 15 to 20 knot range.  Also the waves could be cleaned up a little more by then.  The wind will die off late morning and the rest of the day will be light.

Sunday:  Light and variable wind.

A big west wind day from a couple years ago.
