Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast August 6th & 7th

Last Week – Close:  It didn’t even blow out of the north enough later in the days Friday or Saturday to get out and ride.  Sunday was calm as well.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 6, Close – 12, Way Off – 0

Water Temp:  Low 70’s pretty much everywhere.

Today:  Pretty much the entire lakeshore should be good for 13 to 18 knots of wind out of the NW for this afternoon.  It will be best as the sky clears and gets sunny.  Muskegon Pere Marquette beach would be a good place to go today and up north, Manistee would be a good spot also.  Coast Guard Festival in Grand Haven will make the beach there extremely crowded this weekend.

Saturday:  Mostly calm until mid afternoon where it should pick up to 15 knots out of the WNW for around Muskegon to Holland.  It won’t last very long as it will just be a little thermal enhancement.

Sunday:  Light and variable winds.

I can’t get enough of these pictures from our downwinder a couple weeks ago.
