Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast July 23rd & 24th

Last Week – Close:  All I can say is last Sunday.  The forecast looked pretty good for some wind, but I didn’t see GALES coming.  Awesome day.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 5, Close – 11, Way Off – 0

Water Temp:  Mostly all the lakeshore in the low 70’s now.

Today:  Westerly breeze this afternoon for the entire lakeshore.  Winds won’t be much higher than 10 knots though.  Probably enough for a foil board though.

Saturday: Very light and variable winds for most of the day.  Mid afternoon we could have a slight thermal enhancement from the west.  However, it won’t be much more than 10 knots again.

Sunday:  Another chance for some S wind on Sunday, but rain is expected at some point as well.  Right now the rain looks like it could come in anytime in the morning or into early afternoon.  After it passes the wind is supposed to increase and out of the SSW.  The entire lakeshore should see 15 to 20 knots.  Maybe it’ll improve too.  I’d take another 30 knot day with this warm water and heat.
