Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast July 30th and 31st

Last Week – Nailed It!  Winds were light Friday and Saturday and then Sunday around mid afternoon the clouds parted, the sun came out and the wind picked up!  It was a solid 20 knots for most of the lakeshore and the warm water made for a very enjoyable session.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 6, Close – 11, Way Off – 0

Water Temp:  Mostly all the lakeshore in the mid 70’s now.  Hopefully the east and north winds today and tomorrow don’t turn the lake over.

Today:  East wind and then backing northeast later in the day especially for the northern half of the lakeshore.  Manistee area could fill in on the northeast and be side shore 15 to 20 knots.  Chance for afternoon showers as well.

Saturday:  Ditto to Friday.

Sunday:  Looking like light and variable winds all morning to mid afternoon.  Then under the sunny skies there should be a NNW beach breeze around mid to late afternoon.  It doesn’t look like it is going to build to very much though.  Maybe 10 knots.
