Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast July 9th & 10th

Last Week – Nailed It!:  Wasn’t that hard to call it last weekend.  Friday went off in a good way and Saturday, Sunday and Monday were calm.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 4, Close – 10, Way Off – 0

Water Temp:  Mostly low to mid 60’s with some pockets of upper 50’s mixed in.  Water temp could drop again after the Saturday.

Today:  Light SW winds this afternoon.  Might be enough for a real light wind session from Grand Haven to Muskegon.  Try out the foil board if you have one maybe.

Saturday:  Here we go!  Looks like close to a repeat of what we had last Friday.  Should be NNW starting early for the northern half of the Lakeshore and NW starting early morning for the southern half of the Lakeshore.  See DP’s account of last Friday in Manistee, here.  Winds should be 25 to 30 to knots up north and 20 to 25 knots for Muskegon to Holland.  Some good spots to go would be Grand Haven City Beach, Muskegon Pere Marquette Beach, and Manistee 1st St Beach.  Further south, Oval Beach, South Haven and St Joe should deliver too.
