Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast June 13th and 14th

Last Week: Nailed It! – Friday, Saturday and Sunday were pretty much right on.  Saturday a small thermal did develop, but it didn’t last and was barely enough to ride for a bit in the afternoon.

Tally So Far: Nailed It! – 5, Close –4 Way Off – 0

Today: After a rainy start, this afternoon there will be some wind out of the north for Manistee in the 15 to 20 knot range. This will go into the early evening.  The rest of lakeshore to the south of Big Sable Point does not look like there will be much

Saturday:  Light and variable winds.  Mostly cloudy so not much chance for thermal activity either.

Sunday:  Light SE to S winds with a chance of rain and mostly cloudy.  Doesn’t look very promising for wind, even at the points.

Well, not the greatest looking forecast for wind this weekend.  At least the water is warming back up after it really had a major cool down last weekend.

Dawn patrol session this past week. Got off the water just before a small storm rolled in. Good wind though while we were out.
