Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast June 17th & 18th

Last Week:  Nailed It!  Oooooh yaaaaa, last weekend was a good one!  Saturday went off from north of Montague all the way up to Frankfort.  Sunday was pretty solid too.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 4, Close – 2, Way Off – 1

Water Temp:  Good news here.  We are back in the mid 60’s for the southern half and upper 50’s to low 60’s to the north.

Today:  There should be some SSW wind this afternoon in the 15 to 20 knot range north of Muskegon and the points.

Saturday:  A little on the light side with S wind in the 10 to 15 knot range.  It’s supposed to be mostly cloudy, so I don’t expect much thermal enhancement.

Sunday:  Some good news for the kiter dads out there!  Looking pretty good right now for a SW wind all along the lakeshore in the 20 to 25 knot range.  It should blow most of the afternoon.

I went up to Ludington last Saturday and had the whole place to myself with 7m side shore wind conditions.  Nice open beach with flat water by the pier and some kickers down the beach a ways.
