Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast May 21st & 22nd

Last Week – Nailed It!:  Two weeks in a row!  Saturday was actually even windier than I thought it would be, at least in Grand Haven where I rode.  It was probably gusting to 30 knots.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 2, Close – 5, Way Off – 0

Water Temp:  Good development here.  Upper 40’s to the north and low 50’s for the southern half of the lakeshore.

Today:  Light and variable winds the rest of the day.  Sunny and warm though.

Saturday:  Another sunny warm day with light wind to start, but mid afternoon, the wind should pick up due to a thermal.  From around Muskegon down to Holland there should be 15 to 20 knots out of the NNW for a couple hours.  Other areas along the lakeshore, mostly to the north will remain in the 10 to 15 knot range.

Sunday:  Should be similar to Saturday, however the thermal won’t pick up quite as much.  It’ll be 10 to 15 knots out of the NNW.

Last weekend was cold, but we had really good wind and great waves.  Now this weekend is going to be warmer, but there won’t be nearly as much wind and hardly any waves.

Here are a few more pics from LSP a couple weeks ago.
