Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast Nov 11th & 12th

Last Week:  Close:  Aside from Friday and Saturday there was enough wind on Sunday for a some big kite riding.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 13, Close – 14, Way Off – 1

Water Temp:  Upper 40’s for the entire lakeshore

Today:  East wind this afternoon.

Saturday:  SSE wind for the lakeshore.  That should be side shore for the stretch from Muskegon north to Stony Lake and at Frankfort.  Wind should be 20 to 25 knots but frigid still!  There is a little uncertainty in the direction so I wouldn’t be surprised if the wind went more South in direction in the afternoon too.

Sunday:  Looking like a light NW breeze.

Got our first arctic blast of the season this week and it is lasting into the weekend.  Having said that, I can’t advise kiteboarding in these temperatures.

This is a weekly blog post of my best guess at the kiteboarding conditions for the coastline of Lake Michigan from Holland north to Pt Betsie. Subscribe to automatically receive this forecast in your inbox
