Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast Oct 22nd and 23rd

Last Week – Nailed It!:  It was another sweet Saturday with plenty of waves and big winds out of the south all up and down the lakeshore.  Friday night was pretty good too.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 12, Close – 14, Way Off – 0

Water Temp:  Not much change.  Low 60’s to upper 50’s from south to north

Today: This afternoon the wind should come out of the NW and be in the 15 to 20 knot range for most of the lakeshore.

Saturday:  Light wind early and then it will pick up a little bit in the afternoon out of the WSW, but only around 15 knots.

Sunday:  Light winds early, but late afternoon the wind is going to switch to be out of the NW and it will pick up to 15 to 20 knots.

Couple Notes:  We added two wind meters to the weather page.  One is for Grand Haven and the other is for Frankfort.  The Frankfort meter seems to be having technical difficulties right now, but it was working just a couple days ago.  We are also working on getting the emails to be sent out to subscribers again so when we do make posts on here, you get an automatic email notification.

Last Saturday was an epic day for kiteboarding and surfing in Frankfort.  We are working on video and pictures and making a blog post to share the experience with everyone, so stay tuned!  It was also great to meet and kite with some of the locals there.  The downwinder with Jeff, Dave and Austin was quite an experience and watching Dan soar into the stratosphere was impressive.
