Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast Oct 24th & 25th

Last week: Close – Friday and Saturday the wind was more N than NW and that made for some gusty and side offshore conditions in some locations.  Sunday was right on and even though it doesn’t count towards the tally, Monday really came through in a BIG way!

Tally So Far: Nailed It! – 16, Close –11 Way Off – 1

Today:  Wind is out of the east today.  Good if you are in Wisconsin, but not so much for Michigan.  If you have a good spot on an inland lake, it might be kiteable.  Winds should be in the 15 to 20 knot range.

Saturday:  From about late morning and through the afternoon there should be a decent amount of wind for kiteboarding.  It is going to start out of the south and gradually work to the west as the day goes on.  There is also supposed to be rain Saturday morning and into early afternoon.  Wind speed will range from about 15 knots to 25 knots depending on the time and location.

Sunday:  Light and variable winds.  Not enough for kiteboarding.

Hopefully the east wind today doesn’t turn the water over too much bringing it back down into the 40’s. It hasn’t been too bad lately.
