Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast Oct 7th & 8th

Last Week:  Nailed It!  All I have to say is Saturday was epic.  First big North wind of the season and brought in some waves.  I’m still waiting on getting some pictures back from the day.

Tally So Far:  Nailed It – 10, Close – 12, Way Off – 1

Water Temp:  Water turned over a little with the north wind.  The entire lakes is back down in the low to mid 60’s.

Today:  Not much to work with.  Save your energy for tomorrow.

Saturday:  Time to bring out the small kites!  Wind is going to start out early morning from the South 25 to 30 knots.  By mid afternoon it could be 30 to 35 knots with 6 to 8 foot waves.  Rain is in the forecast as well, but it looks like the greatest chances are morning and late afternoon.

Sunday:  Some leftover wind will hang around but only 15 to 20 knots and mostly at the points.

Saturday’s forecast reminds me of a big south we had last fall too:
