Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast Sept 21st & 22nd

Last Week: Close, very close.  Friday turned out to be much better than I thought.  Wind really filled in NNW.  Saturday there was riding at Pt Betsie and Sunday was rainy with wind up north but not in the southern half of Lake MI

Tally So Far: Nailed It! – 11, Close – 13, Way Off – 2

Friday:  WSW winds for the rest of the afternoon, but not ever building in strength enough to go for a ride.

Saturday:  Should have a good NW wind from early morning through the afternoon to the evening, basically over the entire coastline of Lake Michigan.  Winds should be 15 to 20+ knots throughout the course of the day building to a peak from about 2 to 5pm.  Good spots to go would be Laketon Park south of Holland, GH State Pk, Pere Marquette MKG, Ludington St Park, Manistee 1st st Beach, and Elberta.  The entire  coast will be kiteable.

Sunday: Light NE winds in the morning with a NNW thermal developing under the sunny skies in the afternoon.  15 to 20 knots from Holland to Muskegon.  Fingers crossed.
