Weekend Warrior Forecast March 23rd and 24th

Last week: Nailed It!  We rode on saturday under the sun.  The wind ended up being a little stronger then I expected.  Pumped up my 12m and rode, but got overpowered.  Should of had my 8m out.  Can’t complain too much though.  Pretty sweet sesh!

Tally so far: Nailed It! – 1, Close – 0, Way Off – 0

Friday:  Looks like a NW wind will be present in the afternoon.  Maybe enough to put up a big kite for a light wind session.  Still gonna be cold though.  Probably not worth the effort and coldness even with the sun out.
Saturday: From what I see, the conditions are in place for a thermal to develop in the mid to late afternoon.  I’ve been wrong before though.  Gonna go with my gut anyways and say that from Muskegon to Holland, a NW thermal will develop under the sunny skies and make it windy enough to kiteboard.  Hopefully it’ll pick up to the 20 to 25 knot range.  It’ll still be cold, but not quite as nipply as recently.  Maybe even upper 30’s.

Sunday:  A storm is going to be moving by to our south and create pretty strong NE winds.  Looks like it’s gonna be cloudy, so no thermal.  I wouldn’t plan on Sunday on the big lake.

If all else fails, we still have march madness to watch if you like college basketball like me.  However, if Saturday pans out, I’ll be out at Grand Haven State Park!
