M22 Area M22 is undoubtedly one of the most scenic roads in Michigan so we’ve dedicated a section all to itself. The large sand dunes and undeveloped landscape provide a stellar backdrop for getting out on the water.
Northern Michigan You’ll find some of the finest locations for kiteboarding up north. Typically beaches are less busy and you might find yourself kiting alone if you don’t bring a friend. Summertime means local festivals and some actual night life in this otherwise laid back part of Michigan.
West Michigan West Michigan is one of the premier spots for kiters along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Summertime brings lots of people to the beaches so be prepared to share the space. Close proximity to Grand Rapids means there is lots to do when the wind chooses not to blow.
Southwest Michigan: Southwest Michigan has lots of quality kiting locations. Due to the relatively close proximity to Chicago it is a popular destination for kiters from that area. In general North winds create bigger waves in this region so be prepared on especially windy days.
