Weekend Kiteboarding Forecast Nov 7th and 8th

Last week: Way Off – But not completely in a bad way.  Saturday turned out to be more SE than SSW making the wind side offshore and keeping it from building up to 20 knots.  However, Sunday turned out to be great!  It was west wind in the mid 20’s with sun and warm air all morning and into the afternoon.

Today:  It is on right now! Been blowing all morning out of the WNW in the 20 to 25 knot range, however it will be gradually decreasing over the rest of the afternoon.

Saturday:  MORE west wind, but it will rotate to the NW by later in the afternoon.  Mid morning through mid afternoon the wind should be in the 20 to 25 knot range and continue around that strength into the early evening as it goes NW.

Sunday:  The wind will be light and out of the south for most of the lakeshore.  The northern coast around Frankfort to Pt Betsie will see the South wind build in the afternoon from 15 to 20 knots.

A little bit cooler air this weekend, but not too bad for November.  Much warmer than last year and the water is still in the 50’s.  Maybe its just recently, but it seems like this fall has had more west wind than other years I can remember.  We haven’t really had a big huge south wind or north wind yet.
